"It was not, that God speaks to man, except by revelation, or behind the curtain". And the allegory behind of the understanding the Koran directly according to the text, as behind the curtain. This brings to mind the words of John the Baptist in the New Testament: "Goes after me is mightier than I". That is, Jesus goes behind of John the Baptist, as the allegory goes behind of the understanding of the Bible directly according to the text (without interpretation). The idea is the same! "Не было, чтобы Аллах говорил с человеком иначе, как в откровении, или позади завесы". И иносказание находится как бы позади понимания Корана прямо по тексту, как за завесой. Как тут не вспомнить слова Иоанна Крестителя из Нового Завета: «Идет за мной сильнейший меня». То есть Иисус идет за Иоанном Крестителем, как иносказание идет за пониманием Библии прямо по тексту (без толкования). Идея та же самая!
